Typescript of the included cassette tape. The materials are from an interview conducted by Albert Winkler of the Brigham Young University Special Collections on 4 Feb. 2000. Boldt talks about his life in Germany during and following the Second World War. He tells about facing the bombing campaign and about survival at the end of the war. He also talks about how the Mormon Church functioned after the war.

Albert Winkler is the American and British History librarian at Brigham Young University and has been a senior librarian since 1979. He received his BA and MA from Utah State University in 1973 and 1976, an MA from the Catholic University of America in 1980, and an MLS and PhD from Brigham Young University in 1981 and 1982, respectively.
